SKCET, the parent organization mentoring Shankara Group, has been helping millions of people in Bihar, Rajasthan, Delhi, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu; particularly those in the backward sections of society. The Trust has diversified activities across Rural development, Health care, Education, Agriculture, and Vocational training. SKCET at present runs Primary School, Inter Degree Colleges, Technical Colleges, Eye Hospitals, Nursing Colleges, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Watershed Development Programs etc. SKCET President, Shri Sant Kumar Chaudhary, is the guiding force whose vision for premier educational establishments has taken in the form of "Shankara Group of Institutions".

New Delhi Institute of Information Technology & Management (NDIIT), New Delhi with a technical collaboration with Shankara Mahavidyalaya, Jaipur started this initiative of offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Shankara Mahavidyalaya is affiliated with Rajasthan University which was established in 1946 and is accredited with NAAC 'A' Grade under MHRD, Govt. of India.
